This is a real joy for me, because finding great authors with unique reads is hard to find these days.
This author is Nessa Wallace! I just finished reading Tell Me Why. Let me just start by saying Wow! For a debut novel I am so stunned. She writes like a seasoned pro. The story flows so well, and is such an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, cried and fell completely in love with these characters.
Poor sweet Jenna is such a beautiful soul. She has known so much tragedy that my heart ached. I felt so bad about all she endured. To be so young and have known such sadness, you fall in love with her. The tragic thing is that there are people out there who have known the same heartache as Jenna's character.
Caden and Brian are secondary characters, but I would not be giving a solid review if I did not tell you about these amazing guys. Caden is a sweet boy that Jenna meets while having a short stay in hell. This child has the bravery of a full grown man. The way he loves and looks after Jenna is so touching. He has never had much, and really does not know what to do when he is given things. Even down to a candy bar, he feels bad about wanting. Brian is a provider and protector. His dirt bag parents take in foster children, but does not do much to take care of them. They don't cook for them, and does not buy clothes for the children (even though they get paid to care for them). Brian worked and bought groceries for the kids. He loves Jenna and Caden so much. He treats them as true siblings and their bond is so strong. Bryan is swoon worthy just by how he loves others. He protects Jenna and Caden so fiercely.
Finally Bryson...I need a man like this in my life! He is pretty epic. He has a ho bag ex wife, who you just want to punch in the throat for simply existing. Because of this he swears off relationships. I love the reformed man whore. His reaction to meeting Jenna is priceless. I just fell in love with how he instantly had the "mine" vibe going on. It is great. You just want to eat him up. I love a sexy country boy.
Needless to Tell Me Why is a must read, and I am so glad that I got a chance to be exposed to Nessie Wallace. 5 star read all the way!
